How much does painting cost in Malaysia?
Interior painting typically costs RM 1.50–3.50 per sq ft including labour and standard paint. Exterior painting ranges from RM 2.50–5.00 per sq ft depending on surface condition and paint grade. Premium brands and feature walls cost more. We provide a detailed itemised quote after a free site visit.
How long does painting take?
A standard 3-bedroom apartment interior takes 3–5 days. A full landed house (interior + exterior) takes 7–14 days. Timelines depend on surface preparation, number of colours and whether the property is occupied.
Which paint brands do you use?
We work with all major Malaysian brands including Nippon Paint, Dulux, Jotun, Kansai and Sissons. You can choose, or we recommend the right product for your surface and budget.
Do you provide the paint or do I buy it?
Both options work. We can supply paint and materials as part of your quotation, or you can purchase your own and we handle labour. Most clients prefer us to supply for a single point of responsibility.
Do you cover furniture?
Yes. We cover all furniture, floors and fittings with drop sheets and plastic before starting. Daily clean-up is included.
How many coats of paint are applied?
Standard is one primer coat plus two finish coats. For drastic colour changes, dark-to-light or high-traffic areas, we may recommend additional coats — always confirmed upfront in your quotation.
Can you paint while we are living in the house?
Yes. We paint room by room and use low-odour paints where possible. Most clients stay in their home during interior painting.
How long before the paint is fully dry?
Water-based paint is touch-dry in 1–2 hours and fully cured in 24–48 hours. You can use the room the same day but avoid washing walls for 5–7 days. We advise on specific products before handover.
